Account Lead


As a key member of the Mode team, the Account Lead is responsible for managing both client relationships and internal workflows, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, strategically grounded work. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding the work from initial briefing through final delivery, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across creative, strategy, digital, and production.

The Account Lead is organized, strategic, and a strong communicator, who can bring clarity and connection across teams. They are capable of understanding and leading technical conversations with designers, developers, production artists, strategists, UX, creative, third-party vendors, and clients as necessary, and have the ability to distill complex discussions into actionable next steps.

Working across a range of clients and projects, both digital and traditional, the Account Lead helps build trust, drive results, and shape meaningful brand experiences along the way.


About the role:

  • Lead multiple projects from kickoff to delivery, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and on strategy
  • Develop scopes of work, manage billing and budgets, and create clear, actionable briefs, project plans, and timelines
  • Navigate client challenges with confidence, providing proactive solutions and keeping teams aligned through clear communication
  • Build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships within the agency, with clients, and between the two
  • Champion smart, results-driven work by guiding teams toward strategic, creative solutions that meet client goals and reflect Mode’s standards
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business and industry to anticipate needs, exceed expectations, and add value beyond the ask
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate projects into broader agency workflows, proactively communicating needs and priorities
  • Forecast, manage, and track schedules and resources throughout the project lifecycle
  • Translate client feedback into clear next steps, keeping the team informed, projects moving, and potential roadblocks addressed early
  • Source, manage, and nurture vendor relationships from initiation through execution
  • In partnership with Account Supervisors as needed, ensure excellence across all aspects of delivery, from strategy and budget to execution and reporting

About you:

  • 2-4 years direct agency-level experience managing large-scale, complex digital and traditional projects, as well as agency resourcing
  • Well-versed in agency process and organization
  • Strong, solutions-oriented leader, communicator, and connector
  • Knowledgeable and educated in the digital landscape (organic social, paid social, websites, etc.)
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and empathetic team player
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Exemplary in professionalism and poise
  • Courageous with questions to advance experience and impact
  • Calm under pressure and positive in the face of challenges
  • Adaptable and deliberate in approach to work and relationships
