Junior Copywriter

Mode is looking for a sharp, thoughtful Junior Copywriter to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. Writers at Mode work alongside designers, strategists, and account leaders to move brands forward across media: social, interactive, print, and experiential. They have excellent communication skills, on the page and face-to-face. They’re great researchers with great creative instincts. They’re team players who collaborate from idea conception to execution. They’re organized and detail-oriented. They know the rules of grammar and when to break them. They are students of their craft and of all creative work, with the drive to continuously learn and grow.

Core Responsibilities

Write for a variety of brands across media: social, interactive, print, and experiential
Collaborate with designers, writers, strategists, and account leaders to generate exceptional ideas and content
Research brands, products, and industries to ensure copy accuracy and uncover insights
Balance multiple projects with varying deadlines
Adopt and evolve existing brand voices through copy and content that aligns with established practices and standards
Work closely with ACD Copy on brand development, integrated campaigns, naming, taglines, etc.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience at an agency or in-house studio
A diverse portfolio that demonstrates strong and creative writing skills
Passion for storytelling, language, and other forms of communication
Proficient writing ability with a firm grasp on the rules of grammar
Exceptional communication skills, clearly articulating ideas and sharing work
Understanding of branding, media, and marketing
An eye for detail and a desire for perfection
